Each class is designed around the 5 Koshas, the pathway to the deepest layers of ourselves. When we embark on a journey of self-discovery, we are journeying through these 5 layers of existence.
The layers in order, starting from our outer layer to our inner layer:

Class 1: Annamaya - Awareness - the physical sheath.
Class 2: Pranamaya - Energy - vital energy, breath, life force sheath.
Class 3: Manomaya - mental - mental sheath that represents your mind, emotions, and inner world. Class 4: Vijanamaya - intuition, the intellectual and intuitive sheath.
Class 5: Anandamaya - bliss, illusions of all outer sheaths are peeled away.

Each of these layers are there for us to develop a deeper understanding, to examine, to transcend, as we work on removing the layers of constraints we have grown up with, we are able to find our way back to our truest self.

Our Evening Restore & Reflect Yoga Nidra/Meditation Classes:

Each meditation is uniquely designed to bring you into a space of greater ease, more awareness and healing.

Workshop 2: Perfecting Crow & Scorpion Pose.

You will laugh, you may fall (safely) but one thing is for sure you will leave the workshop having learned something new. Reminding yourself that Yoga is about the journey, not the destination.

Day 1: Arrival

Individual meeting with Katherine. All guests are provided with linen Japanese Kimono robe attire for the retreat and their own personalised leather journal.
Tour of the facilities.
Guests are to change.

Sunset: Welcome ceremony/circle. Guests are invited to expose their vulnerability & share anything they want with the group. Who they are and why they have come.
18:00 Dinner, followed by brief for Day 2.
20:00 Restorative Yoga Practice & Meditation. Meditation 1: Appreciation for our body & breath, spirit & voice.

The attire: By providing a uniform attire for the duration of the retreat, it strips the individual of their status and position. It removes them from their past & identity. No matter their sex, age, background, wealth, or position, everyone is seen as an equal, ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery. 3 sets to be provided and washed as needed.

The journal: Journaling will be a significant part of the experience. Thoughts, dreams, aspirations, worries, setting out intentions and desires each day, anything and everything that comes to mind in that present moment, even down to the most trivial thought is to be written down on the page. Journaling is private and will not be read by anyone else. Each guest will be asked to write three pages every morning. It is believed that through journaling, awareness, creativity and all life’s answers are held.

All you need to do to receive guidance is to ask for it and then listen.
— Sanaya Roman

Day 2: Pratyahara: Sense withdrawal: Silence.

Guests will be asked not to speak on this day. To reflect and sit entirely with their own thoughts and emotions and what they want to take from this experience. Guests can communicate via script.
This is a practice of self-discipline, peace, balance, harmony, awareness and gratitude. When you first start to practice to practice silence, the outside noise will slowly disappear, which allows us to hear the internal noise within, our deeper consciousness. This is a great start to journaling and the practice of detachment, being a witness to your thoughts. Write down 5 affirmations you want to commit to through out the course of your stay.
